OS Logo

Chromium OS as known as Chrome OS is open source operating system developed by google intended for user who ‘always’ sitting for web activity and has ‘stabil’ internet connection. In their official website, chrome os offer fast,simple, secure computing experience based on google cloud technology.

Login Screen

Like as other OS, when it start to ignite, simple ‘splash screen’ logo appear with loading progress indicator. Loading process takes time less than 20 seconds before login screen show up. On the first time it run, we should input and provide our google account. this google account will be act as default user for Chromium OS.

Desktop Screen

First screen appear when we log in is pretty simple, same as Google Chrome Browser, with same option and layout. The difference is the is two icon show up, File Manager Icon and Web Store icon. File Manager Icon is used for maintain file locally and remotely. this file manager provide user interface like as usual file manager for desktop application.

Web Store

The most important thing is Web Store. This is application store has hundreds of ‘plug and play’ application which can be deployed using single click action. Content of Web Store is quite simple, applications grouped by functionality, and also we can manage our application using ‘Your Apps Section’.

Finally, Chromium OS is significantly offer basic functionality for mobile person who always connected to the internet. But, this internet connection  becomes major weakness. Maybe if the world could rely on one massive wifi signal, then this would be handy. But since there is an economy and every limits our internet capabilities to make money off of us. This will become a fail.

Removing All Object Current Oracle User (Schema)

June 20, 2012 Leave a comment

How to import oracle datapump file to a user which has an old version of imported schema ?

The question is straight forward asking about importing oracle data from datapump file into a user (schema in oracle) with an old schema of new imported schema.

The easiest way is :

1. Drop the users cascade

drop ‘user’ cascade;

2. Re- create the user

create user ‘user’ identified by ‘password’

3. Import the schema

imp user/password schema.dmp full=yes

But, if we are intended to avoid user dropping mechanisme, and only want to delete all object related to current user.

The simplest way is just browse the schema and drop object one by one. but, if the object is massive nearly thousands or hundreds, this will be bloody takes time.

Below is simple script to make this job easier just one click command only :

declare
objek varchar2(100);
cursor cur is
select *
from user_objects;
begin
for c in cur loop
begin
objek := ”;
if c.object_type = ‘VIEW’ then
objek := ‘drop view ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘TABLE’ then
objek := ‘drop table ‘ || c.object_name || ‘ cascade constraints’;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘SEQUENCE’ then
objek := ‘drop sequence ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘PACKAGE’ then
objek := ‘drop package ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘TRIGGER’ then
objek := ‘drop trigger ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘PROCEDURE’ then
objek := ‘drop procedure ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘FUNCTION’ then
objek := ‘drop function ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘SYNONYM’ then
objek := ‘drop synonym ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘INDEX’ then
objek := ‘drop index ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘PACKAGE BODY’ then
objek := ‘drop PACKAGE BODY ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
elsif c.object_type = ‘DATABASE LINK’ then
objek := ‘drop database link ‘ || c.object_name;
EXECUTE immediate objek;
end if;
exception
when others then
null;
end;
end loop;
end;

Remove , eradicate stubborn strange character files on OSX

June 6, 2012 Leave a comment

This problem maybe just small problem but disturbing when you see a trash with files that you can’t remove.

I have been Facing this kind of problem for several month since try to create some modification on my own application.

When the modification done, i trashed all files related to this project , and using empty trash option to completely remove it. But, there are several files with strange name with special character can not be deleted.

I try several ways to remove those files, but no luck. Using command rm -f, trying to rename those files, and so on.

After several month passed, the light come up. Accidentally, when i reboot my mac, i hit the SHIFT button, and my OSX boot on safe mode. When i logged in, I try to empty the trash, and voilla … My trash now empty … hahahahaha

So, the conclusion, if u wanna eradicate stubborn files on the trash, try this step :

1. Boot on your mac os on safe mode (Hit the SHIFT Button while booting up)

2. Log in

3. Empty Your trash

4. Reboot normally ..
